Description
Handcrafted in New York City, this two-piece ensemble brings together traditional Hawaiian materials, natural dyeing, and sculptural design. The jacket is constructed from woven lauhala, a traditional Hawaiian material made from the leaves of the hala tree, and finished with stainless steel closures and grommets that introduce an industrial edge to its organic texture.
The accompanying cotton skirt is naturally dyed with turmeric, creating a warm golden hue. A distressed hem and dramatic back drape add movement, texture, and an intentionally deconstructed finish.
